"Mother Nature is providential. She gives us twelve years to develop a love for our children before turning them into teenagers." ~William Galvin
Seems a logical conclusion. Therefore I'm feeling like Mother Nature owes me TWO more years and I'll take them starting immediately! You see I didn't actually get twelve full years....remember Mother Nature?!?!?!
My first 'ultrasound' looked like this.....
Yes, of course I was absolutely gobsmacked from the very moment I laid eyes on this first image of my eldest child just as my peers were from the first gaze of the ultrasound screen. My baby was just a bit ....advanced...say walking, talking, and nearly potty trained! So, really?!?! Is it fair that today my baby became a teenager after only 10 VERY SHORT years????
I mean look at how fast you did this to me....
Happy 13th Birthday dearest daughter of mine!! You'll rock this stage just as you have every other period of your life...with all the drama and determination that we have come to love over the past 10 years. I promise I'll catch up...might take two years but I'll be right behind you every step of the way.
What a beautiful girl she is! Love her guest post too. Now the only thing left to look forward to is when she starts driving and dating!!! Get ready....
